Default 50Hz Motor Pulley for Collaro

Hi All,

I'm a Brit living in Fort Wayne, home of Magnavox, but possibly returning to Europe soon. I have a number of '58-61 Magnavox consoles which I'd like to haul back, all with Conquest 600 or 400 tables.

I think I will need to replace the motor pulleys to accommodate the power supply frequency change - is there a place that sells them can anyone advise?

Thanks,
Rob

Sadly no. You will probably have to find 50c/s decks and use them for parts. Collaro had a strange range of pulleys (usually 6, colour coded) to accommodate variation in the manufacturing. Advice in the service info being to contact their service department if the speed was unacceptable, giving the colour of the fitted pulley and they (Collaro) would send the next size, up or down depending on the fault.

This seemed to apply across the range of changers/single players and what I term the 'heavies', ie 2010 (3 speed) and 4T(R)200 models, types that used the Collaro 'push on' pulleys. Pic of a typical 4 speed pulley.

Simply sleeve the small pulley/spindle to increase the speed of the driven part by 20%.

Its easy going this way, going from a 50Hz deck to work on 60Hz is tough because usually you cannot reduce the size enough.
