Post has dissappeared
I had a thread in the 'Components and Circuits' on replacing a metal rectifier with a silicon rectifier on a vintage scooter. I started it this evening. A number of members had replied to this. I replied to the last post and pressed to submit. at this point I was told that I did not have permission to do this and the thread was closed. I did check that I was logged in. I moved backwards through my browser but could not find the thread or my post to it. I have tried to see if it has been moved but did not find it. Could some kind moderator please check if this thread is still there and let me know.
Regards, Ken. |

Disappearing Threads
This evening (18.10.19) I started a thead on replacing a metal rectifier with a silicon rectifier in a vintage scooter in the Components and Circuits section. A number of forum members were go enough to post to this thread with helpful advice. On replying to the last of these posts when I tried to submit my post I got a message stating that I did not have permission to post to this thread and that it no longer existed. I tried to find the thread but could not. I then opened a thread in this section explaining what had happened and asking if a kind moderator could help me with this problem. After a while I saw the post I made had been read. However, later when I looked to see if there had been any replies I found that this thread had also disappeared. I am not aware of breaching any of the forums rules. Could I again ask if any of the moderators could tell me what has happened to these threads and if possible could the original one on rectifiers be reinstated. If I have breached any of the forums rules it was not my intention to do so. I hope this post survives.

Re: Disappearing Threads
Maybe because that section and the forum is for vintage radio/tv and not motor vehicles?

Re: Disappearing Threads
I suspect you have fallen foul of rule F4 since you were wanting help on something that was not Radio. Audio or a Clock. I think the reasoning is there are many forums that specialise in motor vehicles.
One of the other radio forums used to allow discussion of motor vehicles but no longer does so because it became problematic. I know it seems harsh but even discussing car radio has resulted in disparaging posts about a vehicle brand. Cheers Mike T

Sorry, but your thread was off topic for the forums and has been removed from public view.
