Gould 1602 Oscilloscope service manual
Can anyone help with a manual for a 1602, the dreaded tantalum bead fireworks have been causing problems again. The problem is the manuals so far that i have come across do not have the component values.
Forever in hope Thanks

Re: Gould 1602 Oscilloscope service manual
Thanks for that Daniel, unfortunately it only goes as far as the first hundred resistors and the remainder for the manual i think is missing.
I do appreciate the effort though.

Re: Gould 1602 Oscilloscope service manual
The service manual is available F.O.C. at:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8513299/Goul...e%20Manual.pdf The schematics at: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8513299/Goul...schematics.pdf You'll see that the scope manual has anguished scribblings on the front cover by whoever uploaded it, and was presumably chasing a fault all over the place. I feel his pain! Hope that helps. Good luck with the 'scope!

Re: Gould 1602 Oscilloscope service manual
Thanks but that one is the same, it finishes at page 68 when the manual goes on to page 131.
Thanks for looking though

Re: Gould 1602 Oscilloscope service manual
Gould 1602/1604 digital storage oscilloscope.
I have managed to find a copy, not original, not scanned, in my pile of manuals. It appears that the Operating manual is 68 pages, with another 20 or so of amendments. The Remote Control Software Users Manual, v 1 of 24+ pages. (Not the software). The main Service Manual has 68 A4 pages for text. Then pp69 to 131/138 are the parts lists with the circuits, in that A4+A3 extended page format which is nice to work with, but so difficult to copy. If the online copies from the source helpfully quoted by David G4EBT are incomplete, then I will attempt to sort my sheets out and scan them. wme_bill m0wpn |

Re: Gould 1602 Oscilloscope service manual
Thanks Bill,
If you look at the link to the manual listed above kindly. It "seems" to stop just after the resistor list on section 6 page 68, maybe i wrongly assumed it should continue with the other components in which case i appologise to the post contributors If your manual has the component list for the mainboard which is where the cruz of the capacitor / resistor trouble is i would appreciate a copy of those page please. thanks

Please add me also to the sender's list. I'm also looking for the rest of the pages. Has anyone an idea what kind of backup battery is normally installed?
Thank you. |

Re: Gould 1602 Oscilloscope service manual
Advance 1602/1604. Manual. Parts lists are on even page numbers, pp68 to 116. The odd page numbers in this sequence are the circuit diagrams.
For those wanting these pages, to complete the text and circuits from the source quoted by David G4EBT and also as provided by Daniel "Electroanorak", then please send me your email address by Private message. They come to 2.7Mb so too large to post. I hope over the next weeks to scan my copy of the whole manual, complete, with all mods and amendments, and without the anguished comments. It will be too large for email, so will require a CD. If wanted, then send PM. wme_bill m0wpn |
