Hi Stephanie. On that type of Garrard you took out the auto spindle when you removed the records after playing and it was stored on a clip in the changer compartment or on the motor board but it still needs confirming that it is there somewhere.

regards

Peter.

Missing spindle is hardly a big deal at this price though

I didn't see the spindle laying round...I'll have another look if it's still there when I go back tomorrow.... I saw another RG102 complete with spindle at the Wimbledon car boot sale yesterday....the trader's opening price was a score but when I mentioned the Greenwich one his oppo reckoned he would let it go for a tenner

Hello all,

Just to let you know I bought this one in the week (thanks to Alvin for posting the message) and went over to pick it up in my trusty Cavalier hatchback.

Not had a chance to look at it yet but can't be too bad at that price and I think it should sound good once I get it going ..... good point about that spindle though I can't remember seeing it either!

Regards,
Steve.

I guess you can always stick a pencil in the hole for a spindle.

Way to screw up your records.
