Teac A-3300SX Reel to Reel
I picked this up today. It was a pretty decent bargain really paid £295 for it and came with six 10.5 inch reels of blank tape, Teac take up reel and the NAB adapters.
Its a welcome upgrade over my little Akai GX-4000D, not sure if I should keep hold of this Akai or sell it though. Anyone used one of these back in the day? Last edited by Ryan_1993; 14th Jul 2019 at 11:22 pm. |

Re: Teac A-3300SX Reel to Reel
Decent machine, assuming the heads are in good shape - a tad clunky by comparison with a Revox, but solid and reliable. I'd rather fix three motors and solenoids than a thirty-seven piece clutch and disintegrating pot-metal cams. And it doesn't use that ghastly capstan sleeve, either. I'd say hang on to it.

Plus it takes 10.5" reels.
