Could anybody identify this item?
Hello Everybody,
I was given the item shown in the pictures below with a load of junk some 25+ years ago. It appears to be new/unused since it came with it's polystyrene packaging. I suspect it is for an electrical appliance (although I could well be wrong of). Any Ideas? (I have three more photos, including the packaging but only realised I could upload five) Regards |

Re: Could anybody identify this item?
Given the make and number of connections I would suggest an electromechanical washing machine program controller.

Especially as it says Hoover on one of the labels.

Re: Could anybody identify this item?
Dear gents,
I agree as I have pulled out a similar item recently from a "Constructa" washing machine. A drum with contacts rotated by a small a/c motor. Some were made to last 30 years, later units vanished in smoke after five. Regards, Joe |

Re: Could anybody identify this item?
That was the "make" to which I referred

Re: Could anybody identify this item?
Replaced a similar unit made by Crouzet ( - always confuse this with the frying pans!) on my 35 year old Zanussi a couple of years ago, due to broken complex plastic part the knob attaches to, not available on its own. The timer itself still worked
