Default Roberts RT1 'Union Flag' Model.

Here is an unusual RT1 that I have received today decorated with Union Jacks. It was part of a small number commissioned for an ITV series. The Radio has been fully restored and works superbly. A nice touch is the battery pack. I am delighted with it.

I am not sure if rules permit me to mention who I got it from but suffice to say the radio will be familiar to a Forum member.

Avro, that is an exceptionally beautiful and very patriotic item. I have never seen one before and have no knowledge of their production. This must have been a very limited run. Nice find!

Hello Avro,

Yes I've seen that one on the net but resisted enquiring about it cos I daresay it was rather expensive..... but it is very nice !

Howard,

It is very nice indeed and the radio budget is on hold until after Christmas.

I think 10 were made and this is the only one in private hands.

This is one happy Radio Collector.

Which series was that?

Beautiful radio, by the way.

My memory seems to have failed me. They are being used in a film being done at Pinewood Studios but I don't know the name of the film.
