Kaiser Stereo Six Speaker System
Is there an iota of a chance that someone in the forum might have any sort of service literature on this set? Mine came to me in pretty much inoperable condition (no MW/SW at all, VHF works but the stereo demodulator has wires off that I need to reconnect, etc.)
Thank you in advance Brenda Ann |

First of all, is this the radio concerned?

Had a look, but nothing obvious. The W1615 there uses a similar valve lineup for mono and might be helpful.

Re: Kaiser Stereo Six Speaker System
I did find on the web similar questions as to this radio and one reply was that it was also made for the USA market under the name of "Majestic Continental", although little more than that.
On another post, I saw this unit suggested on the Radio Museum. org website: http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/kaiser_...r_w18623d.html This brings up a general data page but it doesn't provide a schematic for it, nor for the "Majestic Continental" either. Tony

Re: Kaiser Stereo Six Speaker System
No luck finding any service information on this one. However, I have at least found the issue with the AM. I've never seen this before, but the secondary of the 2nd IF can is open. Now, I've seen primaries aplenty that were open, but never a secondary.
So, does anyone have any of these IF cans: It's a pretty basic can, just primary and secondary, 460 KHz only, no taps. Also, I need to solder a couple coil leads in the stereo demux module. I think this is basically a Telefunken unit. If anyone has pics of the coil side of the board, it would be most helpful. I will get a pic of the unit posted tomorrow. TIA |
