Dissapointed but, oh well 😁. Had a search on Google before I made an offer and every search result I found was for for the Trippletone stereo valve amps which looked like the one I've bought. They look identical!

Since found this old poster for the solid state version which is probably the same one I'd guess. https://images.app.goo.gl/Pgq15dMGB5SZHuyH7

I don't expect it's worth much but will spend some time getting it working and clean it up and use it anyway.

Wonder how they sound? 🤔

Even when new, there was quite a high noise level on these. Do make sure all the selected inputs are fully loaded. The contemporaneous, and similarly priced, Dulci 209M model also suffered from this. Both claimed to use low-noise transitors, but not low enough by later all-silicon standards. The Valve version was superb.

I did really not mean to.....
I guess I'm frustrated on behalf of the OP, that he did not quite realise what he was buying in the first place. As with so many online purchases, a bit of research is always needed first.

It's nice to see the Tripletone interest.
I have quite a nice example that was presented to me a while back. I use it for 'Music While you Work' in conjunction with some vintage factory speakers and a plus O Gram playing desk. It always creates interest with visitors and it sounds incredibly good for it's basic spec. Regards, John.
