Record Player identity?
Can someone please identify this record player from the 50's.
I need a circuit diagram to identify a couple of components which has burnt out and what they do. Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: Record Player identity?
I am not currently at home till after the weekend, however, did some more searches and found a Regentone Handyman, well done that man, with an identical cabinet but theirs has three valves mine has just two and the larger valve of the two has no writing on it which makes identification even more difficult. Will get some more pictures when I get home and hopefully someone might just recognise the exact model.

Re: Record Player identity?
Well this player is not any Regentone I have known. It may have been self-assembled as they was a time when one could readily buy a fully fitted cabinet/baffle/motorboard and then add a choice of amplifier, speaker and autochanger to it. A strange looking amp - is that a 6V6G in there with such a tiny (5"?) speaker? Looking at the front maybe there was a 3rd pot in there at some time. I'll say it's a Homebrew.
