Re: Rebuilt MW22-7 Tube in Bush TV1
Just to update
My reworked tube arrived safely from RACS yesterday. I just got time this evening to fit it into the chassis temporarily to give it a quick check, and everything is prefect. It is producing a brilliant picture on stills and on moving pictures, with no signs at all of any afterglow. A Big Thanks to Jerome and RACS Frank |

Re: Rebuilt MW22-7 Tube in Bush TV1
Lovely picture.
I am very sorely tempted. What would a regunned tube do for the financial value of a set I wonder? This would have to be a consideration. |

Re: Rebuilt MW22-7 Tube in Bush TV1
Tube Looks goodb frank
Dave , I wouldn't think of financial value , but rather what it can do for a good restoration of a worthy television. and its future preservation. Saying that due to the costs of having a tube restored , you would either have to have a set that has huge sentimental value or a rare or unusual set that would be worthwhile spending on. In which case I am sure sets like pre war and rare /unusual post war sought after models ,the value would considerably improve . But as in classic car rebuilds it has to be for yourself and the car rather than resale value . If it can be afforded, do it before its too late |
