Re: Revox B77 taperecorder
Any idea if it is half track(stereo one direction only) or quarter track(stereo two directions)?
1/2 track machines are more sought after, as are those which run at 15 inches /sec. £100-150?

Re: Revox B77 taperecorder
I have had a look and it seems to be a 3 3/4 and 7 1/2
speeds but i dont have now other info on the revox. but if anyone has something to do with old teles of similar value its available for swapping or cash offers. the other tape recorders available for swapping are a B+O 1600 may need belts?. A philips el3536 looks ok but not tested it is stereo whith the second speaker in the lid. A well used grundig tk5 slight cab dammage but could be restored or used for spares. An elizabethan ft3 four track looks ok but not tested. |

I'm interested in the Grundig TK5 and B & O 1600.

Ive sold the revox on ebay it sold well it made £407
it came from a house clarance job . so its gone but the other machines are still up for grabs if not thay will get turned into parts as i havent the space to keep things that im not into it would be a shame if thay get trashed for parts valves ect. |

Re: Revox B77 taperecorder
i'm sorry, but imo, you got ripped off. A mint B77 could easily fetch more than a grand if you've got it properly calibrated... Just remember how good the quality is on studer revox decks. And to serve as a reminder, every time you listen to Sgt Pepper, you're listening to a revox.

Re: Revox B77 taperecorder
well i was happy with what i got as i wasnt going to use it and i got it for free with another machine (not revox)
the new owner was delighted with his perchase judging by his feedback message . its not all about money just saving history. |
