Default Ferguson videostar 3v31 belt kit

Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can buy a belt kit for a Ferguson videostar 3v31/3v32 from please? I've seen on Ebay a kit for a 3v29/30 but don't know if it'll be suitable (obviously it'll be missing the cassette carriage belt)

Many thanks,
Richard.

Hi Richard, the 3V29/30 belt kit will provide the belts you need but as you say, not the carriage belt. I needed one for the carriage of my 3V23 which is similar and worked out I needed a 37.5mm x 1.7mm x 1.7mm which I think I obtained from Cricklewood electronics. Unfortunately they no longer appear in their stock.

The JVC part number is PU48941-2

John

Hi John,

Thank you for the reply.
Ah great. I'll order the 3v29/30 belts and take a look for the carriage belt!

Many thanks again,
Rich.

Good luck in your search, the 3V31/2 were nice machines.

This will probably do it, they have a large selection of belts and a fairly low spend (£8) before you get free postage https://cpc.farnell.com/unbranded/be...BELT77?st=belt, hint order batterys or any aerosol and it comes by carrier

Hi there. I took a look at the HR-7600 (3V31) and HR-7300 (3V29) service manuals, and while the part number for the capstan belt is identical in both machines (PU49164), the loading belt is different (PU50350 for the 7600 and PU48941-2 for the 7300). Not sure if it's gonna fit or not but worth trying I guess. The whole set for the 7600 is available here in Greece. I can post the link if you need it.'

Regards,

Fivos

Hi Fivos and nigler2000,

Thanks for the replies.

The belt kit I bought from Ebay is no good as the rubber is old and hard. Darn. A link to that belt kit in Greece would be great thanks.

Regards
Rich.
