Does anyone know where I can find Synchro 78 RPM records
I'm looking for a Synchro 78 RPM record called 'Winning Post', it may come under a different title

Hi Peter, I've heard "Winning Post" on Border Television Start the day in the 1960s

That title doesnt seem to appear on the Synchro label.
I know you have been researching these things for a time. Unfortunately with Border now being only ITV studios as with so many regions, information may be hard to come by.

There's one titled "Paddock Parade", and I'm wondering if it could have been re-titled "Winning Post"? Long shot, I know, but they are both horse racing titles.

I've seen loads of Synchro tracks on their lists, problem is there is no way I can listen to them to check them out

All the Synchro tracks are listed on Discogs but none of them are are on You Tube for me to listen to

Hi Phil, having tried to help Newgirl2013 with this enquiry, I can vouch that the track is an instrumental, hence why it's causing some difficulty in recognition.

Actually there are two tracks I'm having problems with, very frustrating.

I've now found out that Winning Post is a re title
The original title was Paddock Parade
I've still hand no success with the two mystery tracks
I've still found out they're not on Synchro 78s
They're more than likely to be composed by Roger Roger and are likely to be on 1950s Chappell 78s

I think we'd all be interested why you're trying to track down these records. Pure nostalgia, or more?

I've read that a lot of light music like this didn't even get officially recorded, and the sheet music was often thrown away in clearouts, so it's lost forever.

These two tracks were played by Border Television as part of their Start the day
They played different music every day
I have all the music except these two tracks
Track one was played on a Wednesday and Track two on a Thursday
I have the tracks but can't put a name to them
I'm a collector of ITV Start The Day Music

If you have the tracks, simply use the Shazam app! I've often been listening to Radio Three's In Tune Mixtape and Heard something l like but don't know, l open the app, point it at the loudspeaker and hey presto!
