Default New old stock ceramic & paxolin rotary switches.

I have a mixture of nine new/old stock rotary switches – some Paxolin – others ceramic, which I’ve stored in warm, dry conditions, which now need to go.

I’ve divided them into three lots of three switches as described below.

Hopefully these will find buyers at £7.50 per lot plus £3.50 P&P. (No hat).

LOT 1:

Switch 1: This switch has five ceramic wafers, each wafer being single-pole 10-way.

The spindle is ¼”, has no flat, but has a hole through it for a grub screw. There isn’t a ‘stop’ to reduce the number of positions, but that could be achieved by fitting a small nut and bolt (EG 2.5mm) in the desired hole into which the ball bearing clicks, to prevent the switch from rotating further. If fewer than five wafers were needed, the ‘redundant’ wafers could be removed and the shaft and securing screwed rods shortened.

Switch 2: This switch has three Paxolin wafers, each of which is 4-pole two-way. The ¼” spindle has a flat.

Switch 3: This switch has one Paxolin wafer which is single-pole 10-way. The ¼” spindle has a flat. As with switch 1 above, there isn’t a ‘stop’ but if fewer than ten positions was needed, a nut and screw could be fitted to limit the number of clicks.

LOT 2:

Switch 1: This Paxolin switch has five wafers, each wafer being single-pole 11 way. There is no ‘stop’ so if it was desired to reduce the number of steps, it would be necessary to drill the appropriate indentation on the face plate and fit a small screw to limit the number of clicks. The spindle is ¼”, doesn’t have a flat, but has a hole for a grub screw.

Switch 2: This Paxolin switch has one wafer which is single-pole 10-way and is identical the Switch 3 in LOT 1 above.

Switch 3: The ceramic switch has a single wafer, which is single-pole 3-way. The 1/4” spindle has no flat.

Lot 3:

Switch 1: This Paxolin switch has two wafers, each of which is single-pole eight-way. It has no ‘stop’, so as with other switches if it was desired to reduce the number of steps, it would be necessary to drill a mall hole and fit a screw or nut and bolt. The ¼” spindle has a flat.

Switch 2: The ceramic switch, with five wafers, is identical to switch 1 in LOT 1 above.

Switch 3: This Paxolin switch has one wafer which is single-pole 10-way and is identical the Switch 3 in LOT 1 above.

I’ve attached pictures below of each lot, which might make things clearer.

Please PM me your postal name and address if you would like any of the three lots.

Thanks for looking.

Only really after one or two of the ceramic SW's David, if you have no takers for any of the lots (which I doubt) could we maybe finnagle the lots a bit? Sorry to be a pain in the artichoke, Andy.
