Mullard Technical Communications - Nov 1962
A request please for anyone with Nov 1962 ed of Mullard Technical Communications.
Jon Evans scanned and loaded two articles on microphonics: https://www.thevalvepage.com/valvete...ph/microph.htm However, the first part only has pages 1-10, and is missing the last page(s) of the article in Nov 1962. Appreciate a scan of the missing page(s). Ta, Tim |

Nobody has noticed for many years! I have it here - page 11 has four additional graphs. I'll scan it for you on saturday.

Re: Mullard Technical Communications - Nov 1962
Almost certainly an OCR-snafu of 'inter-electrode capacitance'.

Don’t understand your reply! I didn’t think it was military slang, but thanks anyway.

Optical Character Recognition - algorithms for extracting machine compatible ASCII text from images like jpeg scans or photos.
Snafu Situation Normal, All F'd Up. this one has military roots. David

Re: Mullard Technical Communications - Nov 1962
I asked the question after reading the Mullard Publication about Microphony in Valve construction post #1.

Heres the missing page. The original PDF dates from an era of limited storage and dial-up, so when I get a moment I'll create a better PDF.

Super.
It's certainly a veritable minefield of resonances wherever you look in a valve. I doubt any modern manufacturers would have the resources to prepare cutaway valves, put them on a calibrated shaker assembly and set up an optics rig. But maybe dsp comes to the aid with waterfall plots etc. |
