Amplifiers are terribly difficult to design without knowing the gain required, the signal level to be handled or the tolerable noise level.

Typical levels could have been assumed for these things had there been clues as to its purpose.

The only information in answer to the original question has been "It depends" and the 6J6 would only be useful in specific and rather limited circumstances.
