Clare V154 PAT details
My Clare V154 portable appliance tester is showing a fault lamp. Has anyone got a diagram or any info on this item please?
Its portable by virtue of a handle, would not like to carry it far. |

Re: Clare PAT details
It seems Clare are now part of Seaward, also there doesn't seem to be much infomation at all for old Clare stuff on the web, but I did find the instructions for the later Clare A252 which also has a supply fault lamp.
http://www.seaward-groupusa.com/down...2%20manual.pdf Here is what the A252 manual says about the supply lamps (from page 11); Quote:
Hope this helps. David |

Re: Clare V154 PAT details
The fool strikes again.
The failure of the Clare PAT is due to no earth connection on the supply. The reason? This idiot had it on his lamp limiter, just in case. Forgetting completely that the lamp limiter is fed from the isolation transformer, Duh! Proves that the transformer has no earth through connection, which I knew. Sam. |
