Philips car radio model ? - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

Hi, Can someone tell me the model number/name of this Philips car radio. It's probably on the back, but for obvious reasons I don't want to remove it .
Did this radio have a front to rear speaker fader control ? (Not the main reason for the post)

no provision for rear speakers 0n this model

If the radio is original to the car then it is around 1976 age.

If the 799 on the front is part of a model number then it's probably 22AC799.

Looks similar to 22AC510.

799 is definitely the second part of the model number. 22AC799 seems plausible.

It doesn't seem to have a fader.

does Philips have an archives site from where I could download more information about this radio ?

You could try the Philips museum in Eindhoven to see if they have a copy that they could scan for you. Otherwise it's just a case of checking the various service sheet web sites on the off chance that one of them has it at a sensible fee. Also don't forget to put a request in the wanted section of this site.
