The Queen and Royal Family posts
Ordinarily any discussions about The Queen and the Royal Family etc would be completely off-topic for the forum. However this is an extraordinary event, so we will be allowing some flexibility during the official period of mourning.
All comments MUST be polite and respectful. No nasty comments about the Queen or the Royal Family, either direct or implied. If you don't have anything nice to say then please just don't say anything. If anyone does make nasty comments they will be deleted. Persistent offenders will find themselves on pre-mod (where all their posts have to be checked by a moderator before appearing) until after the official period of mourning. We accept that people will have different opinions, but now is not the time, and this forum is never the place for any nastiness. She was also a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and until last year a wife, whose family will be mourning her passing. She devoted her life to her duty, completing her last engagement just two days before she died. We feel that respect and restraint is a reasonable request under the circumstances. Thank you, Paul and the moderator team. |

Re: The Queen and Royal Family posts
Now Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has been laid to rest, this exception to our normal rules and standards of post acceptance has ended.
Thank you everyone for following our requests in the above post. We as moderators have not had to deal with any such issues during this period. May Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II rest in peace. Paul and the moderator team. |
