Default Advance 77C Valve Voltmeter

I picked up an Advance 77C valve voltmeter this morning. I have downloaded the VM77B manual which seems similar apart from the layout (the 77B has the meter and controls alongside each other on the panel, the 77C has the meter above the controls).

Does anyone know if they are otherwise almost identical? In particular am I going to get in a right tangle if I work from the circuit diagram in the 77B manual?
