Default Philips 2754 amplifier

I wonder if anyone can help with some information on this very old Philips amplifier model 2754. Looks like it's from the late 1920s or early 1930s - one valve is missing the others are a 506 and an E443.

TIA
Peter

Hiya,

My gut feeling would be maybe an early cimema amplifier?? If it's early twenties, then maybe it was used for the first "talkies"?

I may be way off but it's worth a guess.

Cheers,

Trev

VK2DYM's excellent site provides some details.

Yes, I've seen Colin's great site before - my amplifier is slightly different in that it has provision for an extra valve and doesn't have the neons.
Colin VK2DYM (1941-2004) is no longer with us unfortunately.
