Default Missing reply to thread

Hi I saw a post this morning : HMV 2419 Stereomaster. Only working on one channel.
I replied to this post asking a few questions about the fault and a suggestion on a probable cause.
Checking later I see my post has been removed the thread closed with a (I thought) abrupt comment that op had put his request for help in the wrong section?
Surely it would have been no more trouble to the moderator that (presumably) did this to simply move the thread and reply to the correct section?
Far more helpful and friendly than to just delete and lock?
I felt insulted that my post was removed as if it wasn't worth the effort of a moderator who obviously feels his time is more valuable than mine to move the thread...
This attitude hardly encourages people to bother to answer posting does it?
Rich.

Default Re: Missing reply to thread

The problem was that we had two almost identical threads running in different forum sections.

https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=124167

and

https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=124696

It is inappropriate to offer repair advice in The Repair and Restoration Services Wanted section, which is why that section is pre-moderated to weed out such replies which are more appropriate to threads in say The Vintage Audio section.

Ok, thanks. I didn't realise the thread had been duplicated. I was just a bit annoyed at the time as I thought my reply had been deleted. I did wonder how the op was supposed to reply when the thread had been locked..
Regards, Rich.
