Default Cartridge ID

This cartridge was fitted to a Dynatron stereo with a Garrard SP25 Mk3. There are 100K resistors across the cartridge.

I presume its a ceramic cartridge can anyone confirm?

100k seems like rather a low load resistance for that, regardless of the Musonic suggestion of 1-2 milliohms

A high impedance is only required for flat equalisation - it is also possible to feed into a lower impedance RIAA equalisation preamp, although then some attenuation may be needed to prevent overload.

ISTR Dynatron recommending 100k in series with a ceramic cartridge when fed into one of their chassis with a RIAA preamp.
