Default SME3009 help

I had a problem with earthing, hum when you touch the arm. No continuity between earth lead, and arm. Have replaced the lead.

The tag fits with the two bolts, but how do I get it to stay in place whilst fitting the two screws in the top?

With respect that looks quite a mucky setup there. Not good for earth connections or precision knife edge bearings for gram weight applications. I'd get rid of all that green verdigris for a start.

Start there!!!

I have used this tutorial and cannot recommend it enough.
SOME of the work required is tricky so some patience is required.

The wire has been replaced and cleaned up. Just need to know how to hold it in place when tightening the screw.
