Default Cossor 494

Hi folks

in the process of restoring a Cossor 494 and got the chassis out of the cabinet only to find the dial pointer missing and no dial cord, I also think it should have a slightly bigger speaker so busy in the restoration process.

Here are some picures of the set I am working on, just got to wait for some spares to come and then I can progress. The dial I managed to clean up without destroying the Ledgen, the valve pins I am a bit concerned about as some look a little rusty rather than corroded.

Hi folks

I have found that the trader service sheet is very conflicting, for example it lists C18 as an 0.1uf or 100nf this is the cap between V3 Anode and the Grid of V4 but on removal of this old waxie I noticed that the cap value was an 0.01 or 10nf. I am in demise as to whether to use a 100nf or 10nf, I have in the past always found 100nf coupling caps in use.

I haven't got any 10nf caps, only 100nf

Best wishes

If it's any help, the manufacturer's data lists C18 (it's C26 on the manufacturer's data) as 0.01μF.

Thanks Paula, yes, I noticed that the manufacures sheet does differ from the trader sheet, this is what confused me, I wonder now if I should be following the manufacture info.
