Ekco knobs
At my website it is possible to take an option on the new to make Ekco knobs.
http://www.bendijkman.nl/index.php?lang=en I have 2 costumers for the Black/Chrome-plated knobs. But to produce them for a nice price a.p I need more costumers. Ben Dijkman&Co makes only the best possible quallity. Not only the front but allso the back of our knobs are made 100% identical to the original ones. Hope that this initiative gets enough support from Ekco collectors to get it done. Allso other (Ekco) knobs like the brown ones, we can make if there are enough costumers who want a good quallity knob. Hope to hear from you soon ,so we can get start to poduce. Best regards, Ben Dijkman |

Re: Ekco knobs
There where no reactions at all......amazing
(Allso on the France T.S.F forum: zero reactions.) It seems that there is -zero- need for these knobs. They shure are to find original or/and for less money? That makes it impossible for me , to realise good quallity for nice price . |

Re: Ekco knobs
Hi,
I would be interested, as I have 2 radio's needing them, an AC76 and AC86. Original knobs are pretty impossible to find, especially with good chrome inserts. I hope a few others are interested in this! regards, Lloyd. |

Re: Ekco knobs
Hello Lloyd.
Thanks. There must be more people who need these knobs. I really don't understand why they do not react. Perhaps somebody can explain this strange fenom. to me.. |

Re: Ekco knobs
I need a set of knobs for an Ekco AD65, but they need to be in walnut, not black. I don't think the walnut versions had a chrome insert.

Re: Ekco knobs
Hello Ben,
I will eventually need one or possibly two of the small knobs for an AD75. Regarding your concern to the response, I think the problem of demand is that many of the knobs are unique to a specific set. I have already discovered that there are two versions of the large tuning knob for one of the later sets. The major difference is the diameter of the spindle. If this is common the likely demand for large batches of the same knob is low. Can you indicate what is the smallest number that would make your manufacture worthwhile? |

Re: Ekco knobs
Thanks.
Normal I need buyer(s) for at least 10 of the same knobs. Then I can and want to start to invest my money in making knobs I understand that there are differents in knobs used for one and the same type radio. Specially therefore I need as much Ekco collectors to tell me their needs for knobs. Only then I can serv them the best. I primairy need to know if it's worth for Ekco radiocollectors that I put my money in it and get my invested money back within +/- ..1 year. Couse that's the only possabillity for me, to go on with this hobby work. I don't need a profit. |

Re: Ekco knobs
Thanks for your pre-orders.
Togehter with the Dutch Ekco collectors I have decided to start making these knobs. Becouse www.bendijkman.nl is just a hobby, it can take some time before the first knobs are there. We will try to make the wallnut and allso the chrome plated knobs. My knobmaker will start with that as soon he has time for it. I suppose that at the end of 2011 these knobs could be ready. I'll keep you informed about the progress. I'm very happy with your help now, by given me some pre-orders. Thats important for us that you let us know what items you can use. Allso to make a price, as "nice" as possible, it's important I get a good vision of the quantity knobs that are wanted. The bigger quantity the more cheap 1 knob can become. If our parts quallity should be not that good as you had wished, you send us back these parts. Not good/satisfied=You'll get your money in return. |
