the last post was missing some information the unit in question i was referring to is a rogers ravensbourne FM Tuner and the 4 screws are to hold the wood case to the chassis. i did get new washers M4 by 20mm X 4.

Possibly a BA standard size So many years ago now I find it hard to remember ! Maybe a Whitworth ?

4BA ? Screws.
I still haven't found the circuit diagram for my model my tuner must be a late version with an active power supply with an NPN Transistor as well as a 1310 Multiplex decoder IC
