Question 1155 service manual wanted

Hi - does anyone have a manual for the RAF R1155 receiver? A photocopy would be perfectly acceptable. Willing to pay a reasonable sum plus postage.

Thanks,

Phil

Hi Phil

There is all you are likely to need here on the VMARS site.

Phil,

try this:

http://www.vmarsmanuals.co.uk/r1155/r1155.htm

A Google search for "R1155 manual" turns up a lot of good results, though if you're looking for th alignment instructions, you maybe out of luck, as the IF alignment wasn't included in the original AP, and the RF instructions are sketchy.

Phil, I have the Airministry Service Manual . Can run you off a photocopy of the R1155 section if no one else has.

Phil,

The full manual is quite a number of pages, much of it concerning aerial systems and the direction finding circuitry and equipment. Unless you have an unmodified set and intend to set up the DF equipment, the vmars material mentioned earlier is most of what's relevant.

If your set has been modified into a comms receiver, as most were, it may be very hard to get it back to original form. In that case you may also be interested in the various PW and WW articles on the mods.

http://www.vintageradio.me.uk/military/military.htm

has a few.

I've got a good photocopy of the manual which you can borrow if the vmars material isn't adequate.

Pete.

Thumbs up Re: 1155 service manual wanted

Wow! Thanks Roger, Colin, Jim, John and Pete for the rapid response. The VMARS info looks exactly what's needed. Don't know why I didn't think of that resource myself, as I know some of the VMARS guys through ham radio, although I normally tend to stick to domestic sets.

Thanks guys! All the best,

Phil
