What a beast! The inside and the outside of the cassette deck look like they're from different decades. Amazing!

Very impressive looking, especially from the inside!

Are the specs as impressive?

The deck has some auto-modes like continous play, search, noise reduction and fully two speeds. At 4,7 cm\sec - 31,5 - 18000 Hz, at 9cm\sec - up to 22000 Hz. Also 6-motor direct drive.

заяц!

I didn't know there were domestic socket last discs. Is it the same format as western laser disc? I've been collecting various ну погоди artefacts so ill have to think about LD now!

That's an impressive optical system, not to mention the laser itself which I'm assuming is the long black tube running parallel to the front of the machine. Was this a purely Soviet design? I never remember seeing any CD player with that type of optical arrangement for instance.

The original Philips laserdisc players (the VLP600 from 1982, for example) did use a Helium-Neon laser tube like that.

Nice Laserdisc player !
Being a bit of a collector of Laserdisc units I can appreciate what you have there .
Funny though , the remote control for it seems to remind me of a Pioneer one I have in my possession.
