Default Telegraph article on John Reith and the BBC.

See here: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/radio/wh...-invented-bbc/

[The person he fired after he was cited in a divorce case being Eckersley]

It seems to be behind a paywall.

Not for me, and I'm not a Telegraph subscriber. [the entire Telegraph site is accessible to me using Firefox with the NoScript plugin]

Either way, thanks for flagging this up Tanuki. I managed to get my wife to pick up a Telegraph ie go around the wall. She got back safely but after 5 days of IceX Station Zebra conditions here in Bexhill and the rain pouring down all day today in [obviously] warmer conditions, it suddenly snowed very heavily at 3pm and she had to leave the car at the bottom of the Hil. It's now thawing just as rapidly

Global confusing as well as warming!

As a student of synchronicity I find it interesting that this new book turns up alongside the current BBC Transmissions going on-line thread.

Cheers,

It doesn't seem to be a new book after all, although Simon Heffer's article is in that section. It's broadly accurate and mentions his daughter but is very inconclusive! Worth a read though despite that.
