AGA 4410 picture problem help please
A few weeks ago I bought an AGA 4410 a rather nice little 11" set C1960 with a teak case the set was effectively dead and every cap in it measures 3 or 4 times it's value having diligently changed the caps I now have a set that works but with the following problem or problems. I have sound and a picture ( the tuner is VHF but that's not a problem my modulator can handle that ) on turn on I have what sounds like a duff capacitor co ing through the speaker rapid clicking when the tube comes up I can't get the picture any better than the photo attached it's grey and washed out now it has had moments of clarity where the black comes back but these are rare and only last a couple of seconds but make me think the tube is ok. I cannot for the life of me find a schematic for this set anywhere which doesn't help. The multi section electrolytics were physically leaking so both of these have been replaced with new so I'm at a bit of a loss the only other symptom being that the top of the screen has a dark band when the contrast or brightness are the ed down a bit usually I'd expect this to be a duff electrolytic but this isn't the case.

Hej-hej!
I don´t know, if I have a schematic, I shall take a look. I should start to control the video diode! I see this problem in the suburban of it. You can knock carefully with the handle of a screw driver against parts of the set, maybe there is a bad solder job done. Good luck! German Dalek
