Philips car radio model ?
Hi, Can someone tell me the model number/name of this Philips car radio. It's probably on the back, but for obvious reasons I don't want to remove it .
Did this radio have a front to rear speaker fader control ? (Not the main reason for the post) Thanks, Mike. Last edited by sparkymike; 16th May 2022 at 9:51 am. Reason: missed words |

Re: Philips car radio model ?
If the radio is original to the car then it is around 1976 age.

Re: Philips car radio model ?
If the 799 on the front is part of a model number then it's probably 22AC799.

Re: Philips car radio model ?
Looks similar to 22AC510.
https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/philip...2ac510_00.html or possibly 514. https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/philips_22ac514_52.html Peter |

Re: Philips car radio model ?
799 is definitely the second part of the model number. 22AC799 seems plausible.
It doesn't seem to have a fader. |

Re: Philips car radio model ?
You could try the Philips museum in Eindhoven to see if they have a copy that they could scan for you. Otherwise it's just a case of checking the various service sheet web sites on the off chance that one of them has it at a sensible fee. Also don't forget to put a request in the wanted section of this site.
