The Radiophile
I'm wondering what the latest received issue of the Radiophile magazine is. Perhaps I need to renew my subscription.

Re: The Radiophile
The last one I have is Christmas 2014 - Issue 133.
I don't think a Spring one is out yet, but will probably be due shortly. |

Re: The Radiophile
I spoke to Chas the other day and it is indeed due out anytime now. In fact Chas rang me re technical cover for the Edinburgh area as well as what I cover already.

Re: The Radiophile
Mine arrived this morning, too. Having a free afternoon I read the whole thing at one sitting. Great stuff!

Re: The Radiophile
Chas rang me yesterday and asked me to correct an error regarding the workshop at Sambrook. On page II the workshop is said to be on 28th June - this is incorrect, it is actually on the 21st June as announced on page 43.

Re: The Radiophile
Sadly, I can't make either date. It sounds like it will be a very interesting event, too.

Re: The Radiophile
Mine arrived yesterday. I'm looking forward to a good read in front of the fire while enjoying a mug of tea (large).

Re: The Radiophile
Have I missed any issues? The last to arrive here was Issue 134, Spring 2015. Chas did write in his editorial that publication dates would probably drift somewhat, but I'm not sure whether there's a problem with my local post or whether no magazines have been sent out since issue 134. My subscription runs up to Issue 137 but in calendar terms it expires tomorrow.

Re: The Radiophile
I'm pretty sure that 134 [Spring] was my last one too Phil although it's sometimes confusing as Radiophile goes to my "home" address ie Rammy. Based on past experience I suspect that the Autumn edition will be on the way! I tell people that Radiophile is not llike any other radio mag and always worth the wait. I managed to oversubscribe last year and Chas contacted me but I made it a donation on the basis that magazinr production is a precarious business and "once it's gone-it's gone" as they say in Aldi offers!.
Some of the cover pasintings [like 134] are worth the price on there own! If anyone has got 135 though, you could let us know Dave W Bexhill |

Re: The Radiophile
Totally agree with all those comments.Chas and Jo do a great job between them as Graham has now gone.
Of course stating the obvious , they are not getting any younger (or any of us) but you all know what I mean and said with great respect I add. Jo certainly used to do the covers and I presume still does.

Re: The Radiophile
Thanks for that, chaps. I'll be seeing Chas at the December workshop at Gnosall, so if issue 135 hasn't appeared by then I'll ask him for an update.

Re: The Radiophile
Update - I spoke to Chas yesterday. Radiophile issue 135 will be sent to the printers next week. My guess is that we'll see it early in the New Year.

Re: The Radiophile
Another update - Issue 135 is now with the printers. There was a glitch on label printing due to some changes not going according to plan, but the magazines should be posted within the next few days. Subject to Royal Mail, hopefully they should arrive to most subscribers before Christmas.
There is now a dedicated email address for subscription / back issue queries only - admin@radiophile.co.uk and a website should be up and running in the new year. |

Re: The Radiophile
Thanks for the update though very surprised Chas has agreed to a website and email after all these years.
Or do they have someone to deal with it I wonder?

Re: The Radiophile
I'm currently helping Chas with the admin to allow him more time to concentrate on the magazine - and he is actually quite keen on the website idea (I was very involved with website design some years ago, so will be putting something together in the new year)
More details are in the magazine ... |

Re: The Radiophile
When I met Chas at the weekend there was some positive talk about website and extra help. I presume he meant you.
It's really good news - Radiophile is a great magazine and Chas a very talented chap. |

Re: The Radiophile
And if he can concentrate on the magazine without being bogged down by mundane admin type tasks, it can only get even better.
