Default Classic Philips CD373 CD player

I bought this Philips CD373 CD player new in the late 80s. Prior to just firing it up it had not been used for at least two decades. It works fine, nice clear audio. It has Philips' Favourite Track Select system (FTS) whereby you can select your favourite tracks on a CD and each time you subsequently insert that CD it will play just those if you want to by pressing the FTS button then 'play'. Otherwise just press 'play' and it play the complete CD. Apparently it has the very desirable TDA1451 DAC - people are making a big deal out of that for some reason! Included is the remote control, the original user manual and also original Philips service data that I bought but never used. No mains lead (figure of eight type). I have now fitted the red transit clamps so they must be removed to use the player. Having just checked recent selling prices of these two sold recently for 41 and 50.

35 + 7.44. No hat, first come first served. PM me with your full name and address, mobile number and/or email address (for the courier) and I'll send you payment details. Shipped by Hermes tracked and insured.

I bought one as well in the 80's!
Good quality reproduction, mines still going strong. I'm surprised the FTS feature never caught on, I thought it was a good idea.

I think a few companies do do a similar thing to FTS. Great to know yours is still going strong.

I thought the TDA1541 was used in one of the early Quad CD units?
