Default VE301Wn info or chassis pictures required please

I've just acquired a ve301Wn the newer version of the Volksempfanger. The set has been East Germaned meaning kept going by all manner of bodgery. I intend to put the chassis back as it should be but I'm struggling for a decent under chassis photo for the correct component layout. I'd be eternally grateful if anyone can help

Hello,

there is a very simple way to see photos of VE301 chassis: Please go to "ebay.de" and look for "Volksempfänger chassis" and you will see a wide and daily changing variety of photos of these in my eyes not very decently designed radio sets.

And: You deserve respect for taking up such a task ...

Regards,
Joe

Do you have a photo for us? And, please, can you tell us of what manufacture your set is?

Regards, Joe

I've put the thing back together I'll pop on a pic of the set which is a Braun in black Bakelite rather than brown.

It looks really great, good work. Braun was known for good quality all the times.

The Volksempfänger were standard designs which were built by any company who thought they could make a profit at the low selling price which the government forced on them. In this case I don't expect that a Braun model would be significantly better than any other one. Radiomuseum lists quite a few manufacturers starting AEG, Blaupunkt, Brandt, Braun, DeTeWe etc.

I can imagine that you're very interested the set below it in the photo.

Now that you've got it working you can see whether it brings you any useful information like a load of brave VE301s did for the people of Miggershausen:
