Default RCA AR88lf

Hi All.

Just a quick one my AR88 has given up after 10 years and I have found about 5 caps that are U/S. They are xxxx uuf mica. Is it ok to replace them with polyester ones or do I have to use mica?
regards

Mica are still available. It depends on the part of the circuit and voltage. Mica are also good and rarely fail (I've only ever seen mechanical damage in over 30 years).

Suitable voltage rated Polystyrene (easily damages during soldering) or suitable voltage NPO ceramic would be more normal alternatives than Polyester.

I'd replace Mica with Mica.
