Default Tempest super sixty amplifier and tuner

I got these as an add on to a deck I was buying. I think they have been taken out of a radiogram by a previous owner and couldnt find anything on the web about them. Does anyone know anything about these and what sort of quality they were? I haven't tried them out yet.

These look like mid-late 1970s units and maybe removed from a Music Centre type system. I suspect when fitted they were arranged in-line with each other. Assume the power supply is within the amplifier unit. Have you powered these up? Likely to need a pair of 8 ohm speakers.

From Zimbabwe according to the web. They look quite nicely made.

This is what it would have looked like originally.

I haven't powered up yet and probably won't get to it for a day or two. The deck I bought was an SP25 as per the photo. It does look quite well put together, so I'll be interested to see what happens. If it's all ok, I'll have to resurrect some woodworking skills for cases. If not, a decision will need to be made. I've not seen one before do have no idea how it will sound. If it's from South Africa, does anyone know if there are any electrical issues, I need to consider?

AFAIK (or remember - I was in S. Africa back in early 2012) mains there is 230v-50Hz, so, apart from the fact that their 3-pin mains plugs are 15A Round Pin types, there should be no issues related to mains voltage or frequency. There is no Longwave radio anuwhere in Africa other than Algeria, so the radio will have MW(AM) covering the same range of frequencies as in Europe, and VHF/FM will be 88-108Mhz as here.
