Default Rap 646

My collection is getting pretty big these days but one radio I have always wanted is the RAP 646.

Is it any good?

Avro, I have a 646, and it is super---very sensitive on the s/w's, and goes loud as well--looks impressive, and has a chromed chassis, glass back etc.---as standard, they wont tune down to classic gold (1548/194m)on m/w(200m limit), but a little tickle sorts that..........I paid £70 for mine many moons ago, and it was missing 2 control knobs, but Gerry Wells made me a couple! I LOVE it! ianj

As I'm sure you know I've, recently, been bitten by the R.A.P bug!

They've got to be one of the most distinctive radios ever made and, personally, I find them, visually, very attractive

If you can spare the space then I'd thoroughly recommend you get one... but if you can find a bit more space then I'd suggest the, console, 846 as it just sounds fantastic!

... Or buy both

Thanks for the advice fellows. Not a chance on the console though. Our house in Yorkshire is a small 3 bedroom terrace and I have about 70 radios at this point .

Still the 646 would be nice but I think I will wait till I am back in the UK to get one.
