Ekco scottish factory ?
Hi all,
I have been told that Ekco had a factory near Glasgow making radios including the A31 ( ?)clock radio. Does anyone have more information, if this is indeed the case ? Iain |

Somewhere I have a photo of E.K. Cole turning over the first 'sod' of earth at the Scottish factory. If you would like to see it I will scan it over the Christmas. J.

I would be most interested to see your pic, J - many thanks for offering to scan it .
What I still am not clear on is whether any domestic radios were made there. Wonder if anyone out there knows ? Iain |

Re: Ekco scottish factory ?
According to "The Setmakers" the Rutherglen factory "made coils and transformers for the entire organization."
Perhaps it was solely a transformer shop. Ah not so! http://www.ekco-radar.co.uk/gallery/...p?/category/39 Peter Last edited by peter_scott; 20th Dec 2009 at 12:19 pm. |
