Hello Chip and everyone, believe me you are not wrong I have a McMichael (Thanks Dave.) and when I first got it before having any information stuck my finger on the P U connection to see if the amp worked, it did,2 speakers at full whack, head about 9" away, big shock and very deaf for some time.

Bet it wasn't as much a suprise as doing what I did last week. I put my finger on the top cap of an AC/VP1 to test for a buzz.
