Hello Chip and everyone, believe me you are not wrong I have a McMichael (Thanks Dave.) and when I first got it before having any information stuck my finger on the P U connection to see if the amp worked, it did,2 speakers at full whack, head about 9" away, big shock and very deaf for some time.
Cheers.
Geoff.

Bet it wasn't as much a suprise as doing what I did last week. I put my finger on the top cap of an AC/VP1 to test for a buzz.

You'd have been OK with an AC/VP2
