Zaerix
hi folks
does anyone recognise the origins of this Zaerix EL34? I'm aware that that company was a UK re-brander of many different suppliers of valves, and sold them on to the military and so on. Many thanks |

Re: Zaerix

Re: Zaerix
Zaerix did indeed buy valves from numerous sources and rebrand them under their own name. The valve you pictured is definitely not a Mullard, but looks to me like a Russian or Chzeckoslvakian type, possibly from Tesla. They use the type of construction where the anodes are punched and crimped, not welded. Modern ones would likely carry the 'Electro Harmonix' brand, and many of these are used in guitar amps.

Re: Zaerix
Thanks for the info Bill
I knew it wasn't a Mullard. I found another with similar anode construction in my stash, this time it's a Brimar |
