Question Name portable Sony three head stereo cassette player models

Hi guys. I own the Sony TCM-5000ev which is a mono three head portable cassette recorder. Great design and functionality features. I am aware of the tc-d5 stereo version, but as far as I know, that's a two head unit. I though I might ask here if anyone can name a stereo three head model of that generation (or another)? I would be keen to get my hands on it if it's out there.

The 5000ev looks very nice, as does the TC-D5 which as you say the D5 only has 2 heads, I see there is a PRO and PRO II version of the D5 but once again only with 2 heads.

Cannot easily find a 3 head Stereo portable Sony recorder.

Hi David. Thank you. I was also under the same impression, but decided to check just in case. I have seen other portable 3 head units such as the tc142 which is a mono. I wonder if I could find a catalogue online and dig through.

There was a Superscope three-head machine, which also appeared badged as a Marantz. CP430?

I own a Marantz cp430. Also it's mono brother PMD222. The sony differs in some features. I mean, they all do. The main characteristic that draws me to the sony is the heads setup. The original marantz players have both rec/pb heads conjoined. The sony has them apart. The superscope unit Ted is referring to (which I also own) is a model CD330 and to my knowledge is made by Marantz (mine has a few modifications, so it's not in it's original state on the photo). I also used to have the mono superscope C-205, but I sold it after I got the stereo. See photos attached. All four of these units have the same conjoined heads setup. Also none have a Voice over Recording function which I really like about the sony.
