Talk Sport uses the same power as Radio 1 use to on 1089Khz, which is 50Kw. Still strange how this signal appeared on Long Wave near 198Khz when we had the two strong local stations on 1260Khz and 1548Khz.
Here near Bristol I can just hear Radio 4 on 720Khz from Crystal Palace but this is swamped out by the strong sky Wave signal from the Lisnagarney transmitter near Belfast. Since the high powered Deutchwelle station in Germany closed on 756Khz I can now hear Radio 4 on 756Khz from the 2Kw Redruth transmitter most evenings. Apparently this can be heard well in parts southern Ireland even during the day.
