Default SONY HVC-2010 video camera

I picked this up at a junk shop a few years back, and since then I managed to connect it to my Sony beta c-9 to check it works.

However, since my chances of using it with beta machines are remote, I would like to replace the proprietary multi pin sony connector it uses with a set of RCA plugs (and a dc barrel plug - to power it by a separate 12v supply), so I can use it with a wider range of equipment.

Does this sound like a good idea? I assume the video out is 75ohm composite pal but I have no info.

A pinout of the connector would be handy if anyone can point me in the right direction.
cheers. Ben

Here are some possibilities:

http://www.epanorama.net/links/videoconnector.html

There are several multipin connectors that have been used by Sony and others for video cameras. Some were/are more or less industry standards.

I remember making adaptor boxes for the 10 pin connector way back in the 1970s.

thanks for those links - handy. I'm sure I'll be able to get something up and running knowing the pinout. it looks like a 14 pin connector.
I'll look into this in due course. Still got the telefunken set to do....
