Hello Dave

many scanners are 'badged' - same product, different name.
Let's see what it looks like & it may jog some memories.

Regards
Pete

Hi Pete

Never thought that it might be "badged".

Enclosed pictures.

Have to say that looks similar to some of the Uniden/Bearcat units, also made badged as Tandy/Realistic. Might be worth looking for one of those with a similar spec and searching for a manual for one of them.

It does look like the familiar Radio Shack type. That scanner was around in the eighties if I remember correctly. Do you need the full manual as it may be possible to match the functions up with similar scanners of that era and with a bit of trial and error get it working. I have a good selection of the Bearcat type and there may be operating similarities.

Hi Alan

No I don't need a full manual as its all working. Just looking for a user manual as I would like to pass it on to my young nephew. Seems a very good unit. Have put new batteries in with no problems. Bit lacking in frequencies for my use. Ok for civil aircraft band but not for military.

Regards

Dave

By some bizarre co-incidence I happened upon an original sales advert for the BJ 200 whilst looking for something else last night. £225 new from Nevada, but I can't be sure what the year was.

Thought it was an expensive one when new as it is very well made.
