Hi Dave, I think your nearest centres are either Newcastle or Tees-side. I believe the west Cumbria one is no longer in existance.
Next Newcastle meeting is at the beginning of Dec and is on batteries for Electric vehicles.

Just got back from the talk. Met Ron Bryan (of this parish) there. It was really excellent, a packed house too. The speaker was over 90 and had started at Bawdsey when he was in his teens. Met some interesting people including both of Alan Blumleins's sons.

I'll carry on calling it the IEE and use it on my business card until they ban it. IET was the result of a failed, botched and grandiose scheme to merge with the IMechE.
