Re: Philips/Norelco EL3302
if the capstan is scratched i would punch it out of the flywheel and lift it out from above the deck to avoid the risk of damaging the capstan's sleeve bearing with the sharp scratch edges

Re: Philips/Norelco EL3302
So Radiola 9109 is the same as EL3302?
I also came by 3M Wollensak 4200 same as EL3302 in a different light color and different grille! |

Re: Philips/Norelco EL3302

It might even be for different markets, indicated by the slash-number.

Re: Philips/Norelco EL3302
Got 2nd Generation April 1969 Norelco EL3302A/94G - my first Norelco made in Austria!
The cosmetical and overall condition is like new (the best condition so far). However motor randomly starts making the whistling noise - bearings lubrication? And both knobs has no springs under them - the tech forgot to put them in? I've seen them with regular springs, spring washers and both with black lettering on early 1966 EL3302 but none WITHOUT springs... |

Re: Philips/Norelco EL3302
the motor just needs a tiny drop of light machine oil on both bearings,
just don't run it for long while it's squealing as it will quickly wear out the bearings i have one without the knob springs too, but maybe they got lost during a repair in the past |

Yep, it's smooth as a Lexus now I don't picture them since they all look the same!

Re: Philips/Norelco EL3302
Could someone please help? Need a good printable scan on the schematics for the 1 Generation EL3302 (all Germanium+19 electrolytic caps) and late EL3301 (with regulator PCB).
I'm taking about schematics wrapped into a small piece inside the machine. Please PM if you've got one. |

Re: Philips/Norelco EL3302
the schematics are pasted inside the bottom cover in both of my 1st gen 3302s so it's virtually impossible to scan them, i can take a photo of them but it will come out a bit blurry with the old digital camera i have

None of the 1 Gen I own have any traces of glue or something being glued onto the inside the bottom cover as well as late EL3301s. |

Re: Philips/Norelco EL3302
This is typical placement of schematics I need.
I saw pictures of schematics glued inside, maybe if was in European recorders only? Last edited by toshik1; 26th Aug 2014 at 2:42 am. |

Re: Philips/Norelco EL3302
Got another Norelco today from February 1968 looks like 1 Gen all Germanium transistors (no latch, real knobs springs, spring speaker contacts) but with the new audio PCB.
First time EVER both belts are not melted, just laying loose inside! It came with the manual and I noticed that Norelcos "carry corders 150" have the schematics printed on the last page of the manual! |

Re: Philips/Norelco EL3302
Very simple - if someone turned the motor on! Both belts are soft and easily stretch like a regular rubber bands. If someone worked on it old belts remains cleaning job is excellent!
