Default YT video making a transformer from scratch

Here's an interesting video showing a factory making AC voltage stabilisers...the old fashioned way.

From making the transformer to assembling the finished product, it's all there.
I don't think the forum transformer-winders will learn much.

I note the great care taken with both electrical & mechanical safety...
Especially note most of the machinery, where the mains cable enters the machine... No insulating bushes, inner cores touching metal framework!

Then there's the high-quality? insulating layers between windings on the bobbins!

I once visited an establishment in Sharjah, that was very similar. Very enterprising.

Another power transformer video here:

There are a lot of similar scary videos here:

If they don't convince you to buy only certificated products from reputable suppliers, nothing will...

Despite all the obvious H&S issues etc, there are amazing skills being shown.

I used to live vey close to Hawker Siddely Power Transformers' factory, just a bit different in the working conditions!

There's certainly some 'do not try this at home' stuff in the video however it does show the process of winding on a tube former quite well - as opposed to winding on a bobbin - the operator makes it look easy - strange though that first time I tried winding on a tube former was a real learning experience and not nearly as easy as the video makes it look.
