Default Help identifying radio

I bought this SOKOL 7 Transistor radio case new in box quite a while ago. Intending to find a radio to go in it. I have done a lot of searching but cannot find a radio to match this case, as all the radios I have seen have two openings on the back of the case and this case has one. Could it be that it is not a transistor 7 case and in the wrong box. Any help would be appreciated.

Ian

You are very unlikely to find a different radio that fits this case. Leather cases were a fad in the early 60s which persisted for a long time in the Soviet industry. They were made for specific models.

I have been looking for the Sokol 7 that is meant to go in this case, have also looked at Sokol 403. But as I previously said both these radios have two openings on the back of the case. So I am just trying to find out which radio this case is for, as although it comes in a Sokol 7 box it must be for another model. I have looked at a lot of Russian transistor radios with no luck.

Hello,
It might be a Selga radio.

Thanks very much Richard, I think that may be the one. looking for the wrong radio all this time because of the box it came in, and it was also advertised as a Sokol 7. Also sorry I was not clearer with my first post that I was looking for the original radio for this case.

My case looks like its a Selga, which one though is the question. My case has one input on the side, and the Selga case that matches mine has one difference 2 inputs on the side. I gather this radio was produced from the 50s to the 70s, so probably different variations, and hopefully a version with one input.
